Memorial Day, May 30, 2022
Wishing you all a meaningful Memorial Day. Our thoughts are with all of our fallen heroes, their families
& the loved ones who stood by them and miss them every day. This can be a difficult day for anyone who has lost someone who was a veteran or was on active duty. If you are finding this day emotionally challenging, consider exploring some ways that you can take care of yourself, perhaps taking a walking, calling a friend
to talk, laying down for a nap, lighting a candle in remembrance of your person, eating special meal, writing
a letter to them or doing something that your loved one enjoyed in honor of them might make the day feel a little easier to manage. If you haven't lost someone who was in the military you may be unsure of how you
can help those who are grieving during the holiday. The most important thing you can do is just acknowledge the range of feelings they may be having. Reach out, if you are able, to let them know you care about them
and that you are available to talk or be with them if that would feel supportive and helpful.
