As an Idaho non-profit, Sunrise Retreats offers professionally facilitated retreats to support women navigating life after the death of their partner (widowed) by enhancing health and wellbeing through connection, deep understanding, education, inspiration, and most of all, hope. Held in Fairfield, Idaho - home of Hidden Paradise and Camp Rainbow Gold, this beautiful property is the perfect backdrop to our healing weekend retreats. They believe that spending time in ​nature, creative expression, movement, bodywork, adventure, good food, practice tools, and self-inquiry offer powerful moments of healing!

Join Sunrise Retreats for their December Widow Connect event on Tuesday, December 15th for a Holiday Lights Stroll at Scentsy Commons. Bring your favorite warm beverage and get into the festive spirit by walking through hundreds of lights bundled up in your favorite sweater! Enjoy a casual stroll through the bright lights that
​cover more than 450 trees and stretch over 43 miles.

Paint in the Park Summer Pop-Up Retreat for the Widowed

Masks & Proper Social Distancing Will Be Required.

Sunrise Retreats has had to postponed their 2020 widows retreats due to
safety reasons, but know that it these intimate weekends are a source of
hope and nourishment for so many. 


So, they came up with some ideas of how the Sunrise Retreats can still connect safely with their community. They have planned a series of Pop Up Retreats this summer for widows and widowers in the Boise, Idaho area. 

While these events are not "support groups" they ARE opportunities to visit, connect and support each other while participating in some type of
outdoor activity. This allows
participants to keep a 6 foot distance and
practice safe guidelines from health officials.


If you had lost a spouse, and live in the Boise area, they would love to have
you join them on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 to Paint in the Park
at Kristin Armstrong Park in Boise, Idaho, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm.

You were already processing the loss of your spouse or loved one and then... COVID-19 happened. Isolation, uncertainty, and additional stress may have compounded the grief you are already processing.

After experiencing such devastating change, we are overwhelmed,
exhausted, and confused, to say the least. All of the change and stress
​can take a toll on our health and well-being.


While this is not a grief support group, this is a place to find tools for navigating your overall health and wellbeing during this time. In addition to stress management practices designed to calm, heal, and restore our nervous system, we will also discover your unique vision for creating new life.

Discover Life Again: Creating New Life After the Loss of a Loved One
This is a six-week class on Monday evenings starting March 9, 2020
from 6:00 - 7:30pm in Boise, Idaho

Sunrise Retreats & Coalesce Discovery are excited to partner with the Cancer Connection of
Idaho in the Idaho Community Foundation to offer this wonderful resource.
This 6 weekclass is the journey of rediscovering who we are after the profound life change experienced
 after the death of a loved one.

Filled with practical tools, experiences and tips to create new life while
honoring our past, bringing awareness of the present and celebrating the future.

*This class is NOT a support group or grief counseling....it is the next step
on the journey.
This is an educational wellness class taught by Marni Henderson B.S.,
Licensed Health Educator 
and Wellness Practitioner. It is strongly suggest that
previous counseling or support group participation has occurred,
it is not a pre-requisite to this very special class.


After experiencing loss and change, we are overwhelmed, exhausted and confused to say the least. 
All of the change and stress has taken a toll on our health and well-being.  Discover Life Again, is filled with tools and experiences to embrace our wholeness,create personal wellness and discover hope filled futures.
