Healing Conversations is an AFSP program that gives survivors of suicide loss the opportunity to speak with volunteers, who are themselves loss survivors.
These AFSP volunteers, who are themselves survivors of suicide loss, offer understanding and guidance in the weeks and months following a suicide death.
Available in person, on the phone or by video chat, our volunteers are familiar with the isolation that so often accompanies a death of this kind, and are able
to show suicide loss survivors a way forward into a world of support, by creating an opportunity for the newly bereaved to speak openly with, and ask
questions of, someone who has been there, too, and truly gets it. When someone contacts us to request Ia conversation, we will ask them some questions
about their loss, so that we may match them with a suitable volunteer who has experienced a similar loss. Their peer support volunteer will contact them
to schedule a conversation at a convenient time and, in the case of in-person visits, at a comfortable location of the person’s choice.
If you have questions or would like to connect with us directly, please contact [email protected]

The Sudden Unexplained Death in Child Hood Foundation - SUDC
The SUDC Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3). The SUDC Foundation is the only organization worldwide whose purpose is to promote awareness, advocate for research and support those affected by SUDC. The SUDC Foundation provides all services at no cost to the people it serves. Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is a category of death in children between the ages of 1 and 18 that remains unexplained after a thorough investigation, including an autopsy.
Most often, a seemingly healthy child goes to sleep and never wakes up. At this time, we do not know what causes SUDC, how to predict it or how to prevent it.
A medical examiner or coroner could rule a child’s death SUDC when s/he completes a thorough evaluation and finds no other cause of death.

The SUDC Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3). The SUDC Foundation is the only organization worldwide whose purpose is to promote awareness, advocate for research and support those affected by SUDC. The SUDC Foundation provides all services at no cost to the people it serves. Widower To Widower
A self-help book based on Fred Colby’s first-hand experiences as a widower and co-founder and co-facilitator of Pathways Men’s Grief Group.
Widowers often have difficulty finding the right professionals and/or organizations to help them to survive the grieving experience. Their natural inclination towards self-isolation during the grieving process makes it hard for family and friends to help them. Reaching out for help is difficult for many men as their upbringing often stressed self-sufficiency and going it alone. This hesitation can be a significant obstacle to healing. Talking to a grief therapist, grief group, or fellow widowers can help promote healing. The following resources compiled by Widower To Widower are offered to support and guide widowers when they are ready to begin their healing process. Widows Link is a ministry that helps widows connect with each other, discover the love God has for them, and empower them to fulfill the plan God has
for their life. Widowhood is only the next step in the plan God has for a widow and we are here to help widows live life fully in this season of their lives.
Here you can find ways to connect with us and others, resources to walk out this season of life, and events that will make an impact on your future.
