Art Your Grief Classes with Emily Dilbeck - December 2022
Art Your Grief Classes with Emily Dilbeck
Art Your Grief classes are for grievers. Grief comes in many different forms - this class is for anyone
experiencing grief - it might be a diagnosis, a death, a relationship, job loss, a dream, a home, etc. All
grievers are welcome. No art experience is needed to take an Art Your Grief class. All you need is to bring
yourself and be willing to show up and try painting, drawing and collage to process your grief. Explore and
express your grief using art on Zoom in a safe space with other grievers. Emily will be walking you through different prompts with basic art supplies (watercolor, colored pencils, collage - nothing fancy) to help you connect with your grief while creating. The goal is not to create beautiful art (although sometimes this happens), the focus is on your grief and having a designated safe space to connect and express your grief
using color, texture, and movement. Art is a powerful tool to express and explore grief. There is something beautiful that happens when we sit with it all - even if it’s extremely difficult to do.

Next class series:
This time of year can be especially difficult for those grieving. If you are wanting some extra support
and care during this time - please consider joining the month long class for December 2022.

Sunday classes are Dec. 4, 11, 18 (3 meetings) from 3:30-4:45 PM PT/ 5:30-6:45 PM CT on zoom  -$90
Tuesday classes are Dec. 6, 13, 20 (3 meetings) from 6:30-7:45 PM PT / 8:30-9:45 PM CT on zoom - $90
Wednesday classes are Dec. 7, 14, 21 (3 meetings) from 8:30-9:45 AM PT / 10:30-11:45 AM on zoom CT -$90
Saturday one time workshop Dec. 17 from 5:00-6:15 PM PT / 7:00-8:15 PM CT on zoom - $36

The first 60 min. are for creating, the last 15 are for optional sharing/listening
(or you can continue creating). Please message Emily on Instagram to sign up.
She only takes
a handful of participants each month as keeping it small and intimate is important.

Emily will walk you through several prompts/techniques to help you express and explore grief with art.
NO art skills are necessary!

Private Sessions: You can schedule private Art Your Grief sessions, an hour class is $65.
Buddy Sessions: You can schedule buddy sessions of Art Your Grief for 2-4 people. An hour buddy session for 2 people is $45 per person, 3 people is $40 per person, 4 people is $35 per person.

$120 a person. The first 60 min. are for creating, the last 15 are for optional sharing/listening.

grievers sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out to Emily.

National Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month November 20th - December 20th
National Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month
 November 20th - December 20th
Approximately every 32.1 minutes, someone is murdered in the United States. With raising national
homicide rates, support for families impacted by violence and awareness of the impact of homicide in
our communities is needed now more than ever. November 20th marked the beginning of National
Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month (SHVAM). Enacted in 2000, SHVAM offers an
opportunity to educate the public and policymakers about the effect that murder has on families
and communities, and uplift the peace-building efforts of survivors. SHVAM provides a dedicated
space around the holiday season for survivors to gather in community and celebrate and honor
their loved ones. Let's fight to bring awareness this month to the loved ones we have lost.

Blue Christmas / The Longest Night Services - 2022

Blue Christmas / The Longest Night Services - 2022
Blue Christmas / The Longest Night Services - 2022
The constant refrains we see about the holiday season's happiness, and getting together with family and friends, remind many people of what they have lost. So often, the glow of Christmas lights, holiday cheer, and Advent candles can feel unreachable to those surrounded by loss or grief. The death of a loved one can make us feel alone amid the celebration and joy. We need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness; we need to know that we are not alone. If you haven't heard of it before, Blue Christmas sometimes called The Longest Night in the Western Christian tradition. This service is traditionally held on or near the longest night of the year, December 21st, the Winter Solstice. It honors people that have lost loved ones and are experiencing grief or loss of any kind. Usually,
it includes opportunities for expressing grief, pain, and lament, as well as a chance to focus on the promise of hope.
This service is not intended to be a healing service, but an acknowledgment of the hole grief leaves in one's heart while simultaneously remembering that we worship a God who is with us, even in the darkest of times.

Here is a list of services from all around the US. Some will be available to attend virtually:

Tea With Tara: Spouse Loss
Wednesday, November 16, 2002, at 6:00 PM UK Time or 10:00 AM PST
So many feel the immense pain of spouse loss. You are invited to join together in community on this
free Conscious Grief Community video call to share and explore your grief. Tea with Tara is a place of non-judgment and a safe space to delve into our inner and outer realities. Tara Nash believes we teach one another,
which is why she commits to holding space to commune and share together.
Don’t forget to make your tea!
Tara will ask you to share what you are drinking and where you are from to break the ice. Join Tara and
the Conscious Grief Community on Wednesday, 16th November, at 6pm UK time or 10am PT time.
