Hear from three remarkable speakers who will share their personal stories and discuss the profound impact of movement, goal setting, and connection on mental wellness: - September Dilgard-Frogley: Founder of Connection Is The Cure, dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. - Megan Lacy: Owner of Fleet Feet Treasure Valley and Team USA Elite Athlete, sharing her journey of overcoming eating disorders, depression, and anxiety to promote an active lifestyle. - Kylee Wiscombe: Founder of Gr8ter, an ultrarunner who transformed her life after being diagnosed with a severe mental illness and now helps others navigate their mental health challenges. The Compassionate Friends is an emotional support group for those suffering from child loss. Parents, grandparents and siblings (age 12 and above) are all welcome. They are a self-help group and all of their leaders are bereaved parents. They are a non-profit, non-denominational support group with no religious affiliation. The group meets inside the Meridian Senior Center at Julius M. Kleiner Park in Meridian, Idaho at The Village, every 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM MST. In this group you can share with others who are struggling. You will be supported in activities which help you reflect on your grief. You will have the opportunity to learn techniques to help cope with the feelings which accompany the loss. You will be encouraged to discuss feelings and learn effective ways to express your loss. This is an open group with walk-ins welcome. If it is a holiday, please call 208-515-7661 to confirm that the group is being held that day. They do not charge a fee to participate in this group. Donations are accepted and appreciated, however are NOT required. The Meridian group meets in the conference room at the Meridian, Idaho location of Treasure Wellness Counseling and Training Center on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
