INSTAGRAM LIVE WITH RACHEL VANNI OF "GOOD DAYS, BAD DAYS" PODCAST AND MY GRIEF CONNECTION FOUNDER, SARA COBB, TALK ABOUT HOW TO FIND GRIEF RESOURCES AND SUPPORT - 30 AUGUST 2020
In honor National Grief Awareness Day on 30 August 2020, Rachel Vanni,
host of the Good Days, Bad Days Show invited me to be a guest
on an Instagram Live event.
Rachel started her podcast in the wake of the deaths of her husband and
young daughter, 8 months apart. The Good Days, Bad Days Show is about
living your best life, even when grief smacks you in the face.
We shared lots of tips & hints about how to find grief resources in your local
area and online. We also discussed the types of support groups available,
the pros & cons of in-person and online support groups, suggestions for
where to go for legal help and support after a death, and much more.
Please share this with anyone you know who is grieving and may need
help finding support tools and resources.

National Grief Awareness Day 2020
Today, August 30th, is National Grief Awareness Day, which is a great opportunity and reminder to talk
about and normalize the grief experience. Maybe take a moment to reach out to someone you know who
is grieving a loss and let them know you care and they are not alone, offer support, and just listen.
If you are grieving, I encourage you to take some time today to acknowledge your own grief and all that you have lost. You might also evaluate any gains from your grief process as well, if that feels helpful. If you feel up to it, consider sharing some of your grief story with someone who may benefit from your wisdom, experience, strength and hope. Don't forget to offer yourself some extra compassion and grace for what you are going though. It's hard.
Grieving is not easy, but it is easier when we are not alone.
If you are feeling alone, please reach out for support in anyway you can.
If you need some great ideas for how to find support in your local area as well as online,
please watch the IG live that Rachel, from the Good Days, Bad Days Show, and I did today.
You can watch it here: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CEhraGxHRmR/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
We hope you get some tips that will help you find support.
Feel free to reach out to either of us if you need direction with finding resources.
