Are you facing stress and grief from caring for others? Do you feel helplessly limited in the care you can provide? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, know that you are not alone. Essential workers and caregivers have faced unprecedented challenges over the past couple of years. These stresses keep us from connecting with others and living our best lives. Long stressful hours, the inability to be with loved ones, struggling to provide the best care for our care-receivers, watching grieving families say goodbye remotely-- all while being immersed in grief day in and day out personally and professionally can be draining. Join Grief Workers Kevin Ringstaff and Jenny Dilts in creating a safe space to acknowledge and talk about this unique stress and grief in our lives. Managing Grief and Stress in the Workplace is a 2-hour workshop where we can come together in an intimate, inclusive, confidential, and non-judgmental environment. Even if you are not in a caregiving role, you are still welcome to join. Topics covered include: - Stressors of our environment and this time of pandemic - Ways these stressors can contribute to burnout and how this affects us - Different perspectives of Grief and how it shows up for us personally and as a society - Strategies for self-care and supporting others to lessen burnout in the future. Registration is limited to 20 so we can create a small group setting to share our stories and learn from each other. Managing Grief and Stress in the Workplace is an online workshop created for service professionals in areas such as healthcare, End of Life, hospice and palliative care, and funeral/crematorium services. It's also for family caregivers who are often unpaid, unrecognized, and undervalued. The next workshop is Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00AM PT. The holidays are upon us and it is extra important to take intentional time to care for yourself and to remember and honor the love ones you've lost. Grief always seems to tougher around the holidays, but the chaos and isolation of 2020 is unlike anything we've ever faced. That's why Danica Thurber at Project Grief put together this Healthy Remembrance Memorial Ornament grief art workshop. In this workshop you'll learn how to make a beautiful ornament that contains hand-written memories. The trouble is that the holidays are here, but our lost loved ones not. It can be tempting to either push thoughts of a lost loved one away, OR sink into the depths of despair. That’s why doing something productive - making something with your hands! - can be so helpful. This ornament is made out of a toilet paper roll. Before making the snowflake, you’ll have time to reflect and write a memory or a letter to your lost loved one. Watch it and participate for FREE.
